Walgreens and Motorcycles...

So, I thought that I would blog about our day today. First we had some of Aaron and Melanie's nieces stay over last night, so they slept out in a tent with Melanie. Then this morning, Sam was SO nice and tried to keep all the kids outside so that I could sleep. I have been having a few rough nights, and so just the thought that he put into it made my heart melt...anyway getting off topic. Since our room is RIGHT BELOW the kitchen, and that is where EVERYONE goes in the morning, it tends to wake up Bubba and myself. So I was able to sleep in until 9:00am when bubba decided that he was hungry.

After feeding him, I was able to have a nice quiet morning as Aaron and Melanie took the kids to a party up in Orem. So we relaxed and took it easy. Around 1:00 we went and joined them at the party.

From there Melanie bubba and I went and did some shopping. We went and hit a few Walgreens and got over $500 worth of stuff, for only $70. And once we get rebates back on some of it, the total will only be $9.00. So we are pretty excited, especially since all of it is stuff that we will be able to use!! Melanie has some pictures on her camera, and hopefully tomorrow she will be able to blog about it, so you can go there and see the pictures and the breakdown.

Then, after that we went over to Brian's house (Sam's cousin) who has a dirt bike track in his backyard. So the boys rode motorcycles for a little bit, and there were some four-wheelers there. Sam finally convinced me to try a four-wheeler, so I did. I rode it around the track a couple of times. Then I took a couple of the kids for rides and I got this response:

Kasia: "I want a ride with Tara!"

Tara: "Ok, come on over!"

Tagan: (who just got off the four-wheeler with me) "Kasia, Tara doesn't go fast"

Tara: "So, I'm not as fun to ride with?"

Tagan: "No, you go too slow"

HaHa. I guess I wasn't as big of a thrill ride for them!! So Sam took them for a spin. He was better at it. Then, Melanie (who had been riding her bike around) offered her bike for me to ride. I was SO nervous to ride it, because I wasn't good at it yet. (I had puttered around the neighborhood a couple of times and that was it!) So I took the challenge, and climbed on. I took a few trips around the track and then took a break, then had to go a couple more times before we left. It was SO MUCH FUN!!! I told Sam that I now want a motorcycle. Haha. He just rolled his eyes at me. Anyway, that was our day!! Enjoy!

And since I can't get away with not showing a picture of bubba, here he is at the track. He was TIRED! Luckily he went to sleep about 5 minutes after this picture was taken!

Birthday- (Updated with PICTURES!!)

So, Thursday was my birthday. And honestly, wasn't the best I have ever had. But we stretched it out into a weekend event...actually, come to think about it, it was more like a week event. Last weekend, we went out with Aaron and Melanie to Tucanos. It is a Brazillian place where they bring skewers of meat out and let you eat however much you want to eat. It was DELICIOUS!! So, if you are in Provo and you want some good meat eating..I would recommend it!!

Then on Wednesday, Sam took me shopping for a new computer, because my other one wouldn't work on my pictures anymore!! I was very distraught that I couldn't edit pictures, so Sam bought me a new one. Such a sweet hubby that I have!! So now, once I get all of my stuff transferred over to this computer, I will be able to work on pictures again! yay!!!

Then, Thursday we didn't really do anything. I helped Melanie clean the house, and then I made dinner for everyone. We had chicken enchiladas. VERY YUMMY!!! So that was good. Then Melanie and I went to wally world, and Melanie did my nails. Friday morning we woke up at 5:30 and took Angel (Mell's cat) to get fixed. That cat was not happy!! But while we took her over there, we stopped and had breakfast at IHOP. So THANK YOU Mell!! We then went home and slept, woke up and worked out and got ready for our date that night. We were meeting our good friends Tana and Mike in Salt Lake for dinner.

For dinner we decided to go to The Garden which is a restaurant in the top of the Joseph Smith Memorial Building. They even opened the top of the restaurant! That was pretty cool! We met with my Dad and he took bubba home with him where we were going to meet them later. After we ate, we went and walked around Temple Square. Now, I can get pictures to post, so here you go!

After that, we went to Nelson's Frozen Custard and got some ice cream. It was VERY delicious, and VERY fun!! So THANK YOU Tana and Mike, and Aaron and Mell!! I absolutely LOVE hanging out with you!

So that was my week. I still need to blog about Girls Camp last week, and anything else I can think of! So enjoy!

Bridal Veil Falls

So, this is kind of old. It is from our anniversary back on the 20th. Sam actually suprised me and took me to a night out. We went out to eat, and Melanie and Aaron agreed to watch Bubba for the night. We then went to a hotel and swam until they closed the pool. Then stayed up late watching Apollo 13. (Man, I haven't seen that movie in a LONG time!!)

The next morning, Sam took me on a drive up Provo Canyon, and we hiked up to Bridal Veil Falls. It was GORGEOUS! The water was FREEZING though!! So we hiked up as far as we could, and then drove up to Sundance. It was fun to get away and get back to just being us. But it was also VERY good to see bubba again!!! Anyway, here are a couple of pictures from our hike up there. There was a fire up that canyon probably a week later that burned the restaurant that was at the top of Bridal Veil Falls. So that was kind of sad to see in the news just a few days later!

Sitting, Eating, and other Random Things...

So I took some pictures of bubba today. He has been sitting for the last couple of weeks, and I finally got some pictures of it!! He sits up without support. He also rolls over from front to back, and from back to front. So..I set him down and he rolls across the floor!! Silly boy!! But here are some pictures for your enjoyment!

Here are some of his first experience eating. He wasn't too sure about it, but he LOVES it now! He now eats green beans, sweet potatoes, and peas. Although he doesn't like the peas too much! I have a video of that that I will have to show sometime... He also likes rice and oatmeal. Anyway, enjoy this as well!
