Walgreens and Motorcycles...

So, I thought that I would blog about our day today. First we had some of Aaron and Melanie's nieces stay over last night, so they slept out in a tent with Melanie. Then this morning, Sam was SO nice and tried to keep all the kids outside so that I could sleep. I have been having a few rough nights, and so just the thought that he put into it made my heart melt...anyway getting off topic. Since our room is RIGHT BELOW the kitchen, and that is where EVERYONE goes in the morning, it tends to wake up Bubba and myself. So I was able to sleep in until 9:00am when bubba decided that he was hungry.

After feeding him, I was able to have a nice quiet morning as Aaron and Melanie took the kids to a party up in Orem. So we relaxed and took it easy. Around 1:00 we went and joined them at the party.

From there Melanie bubba and I went and did some shopping. We went and hit a few Walgreens and got over $500 worth of stuff, for only $70. And once we get rebates back on some of it, the total will only be $9.00. So we are pretty excited, especially since all of it is stuff that we will be able to use!! Melanie has some pictures on her camera, and hopefully tomorrow she will be able to blog about it, so you can go there and see the pictures and the breakdown.

Then, after that we went over to Brian's house (Sam's cousin) who has a dirt bike track in his backyard. So the boys rode motorcycles for a little bit, and there were some four-wheelers there. Sam finally convinced me to try a four-wheeler, so I did. I rode it around the track a couple of times. Then I took a couple of the kids for rides and I got this response:

Kasia: "I want a ride with Tara!"

Tara: "Ok, come on over!"

Tagan: (who just got off the four-wheeler with me) "Kasia, Tara doesn't go fast"

Tara: "So, I'm not as fun to ride with?"

Tagan: "No, you go too slow"

HaHa. I guess I wasn't as big of a thrill ride for them!! So Sam took them for a spin. He was better at it. Then, Melanie (who had been riding her bike around) offered her bike for me to ride. I was SO nervous to ride it, because I wasn't good at it yet. (I had puttered around the neighborhood a couple of times and that was it!) So I took the challenge, and climbed on. I took a few trips around the track and then took a break, then had to go a couple more times before we left. It was SO MUCH FUN!!! I told Sam that I now want a motorcycle. Haha. He just rolled his eyes at me. Anyway, that was our day!! Enjoy!
