Graduation!!!

YAY!!!!! Sam walked on Saturday during the Utah State University John Huntsman School of Business Commencement Exercises!! We are SO excited that he is done!! (well...minus the two online classes that start Monday..) We had such a good time and I was SO proud of my hubby! It is kind of weird to not really have to think about school...not have to worry about what we are going to do next semester, how to pay for it and all of that. We just have to worry about finding a job in his field, and then it will just be work, and building my business. I can't tell you what a relief it is for him to be done! And he is the first in his family (not inlaws) to complete a Bachelors Degree. He got his BA in Finance and Economics. But we took some pictures of the occasion, so here you go!

Here Sam is shaking the hand of the Dean of the Business College. He was so funny, soon as he grabbed his hand, he turned and looked for me. Man..I have him trained!
Look at how happy he looks here! He was beaming through the whole thing.
You can't really see it here, but he is shaking Elder L. Tom Perry's hand! He spoke at the graduation, so all the graduates got to shake his hand, we were very jealous.

Now afterwards...since it was such a Beautiful day outside...Here is our little family. Yay!
This is everyone in Sam's family that attended. (sorry...I am not looking in this one..)
Here is those in my family that came (Tanielle had to work. And Jackie, Kaleigh, and Curtis were being my babysitters..)
And here we are with both of our parents. Yay! We haven't had a picture like this since our wedding almost 6 years ago!

Afterwards we went to Sizzler (one of Sam's favorite places to eat) and enjoyed a lunch together. I LOVE their salad bar...especially their ice cream with brownies. Yum!
So there you have it! He is pretty much DONE!! We are moving this weekend! We have a storage unit all ready to go, and we have a U-Haul reserved! Yikes!! I can't believe it is finally here! Now to just get Sam a good steady job so we can start preparing for the future more! Yay!!
Thanks everyone who showed up and celebrated our special day with us!

I Am Legend

So...Sam and I decided that we would rent a couple of movies, and since I have had bloggers block the last few days, I thought that I would review them for you here. I will do my best not to spoil it for you...

I personally DID NOT like it! I am SO scared to go to sleep! I am afraid of the nightmares that I am going to have because of it! And I didn't even focus 100% on the movie. I was edited pictures while I was watching it. But there were parts that I covered my ears and my eyes, because I just didn't want to see it! And Sam would jump in some spots, so I know it scared him pretty good..he doesn't jump in movies too much.

The storyline was ok...some of it didn't make any sense to me, but I ADORE Will Smith as an actor, so I wanted to see it. Yeah..if you do NOT do well in scary movies, I would do my best to avoid this one! It was just too much for my overactive imagination to handle!

So there you have it, my review from the first movie we have rented in a LONG time!! We also rented Martian Child, so I will try to review that one when we watch it. Should be tomorrow or Saturday (maybe?). But now we are going to watch the Disney movie Robots to try and calm my mind down!

On another note, SAM IS DONE WITH THE SEMESTER!!! He only has 2 online classes to complete to get his diploma, but he walks on Saturday!! YaY!!! Tomorrow we have to finish cleaning more in our apartment and packing some, as we move in a week! Yikes! And we have a supervisory visit from our caseworker, and I am hoping to do 2 photoshoots tomorrow! We will see how it goes! Anyway...I think I have rambled on enough...now for my 1:00am snack...

Stress?

Can we say I am a little stressed? Let me tell you what all I have to do the next couple of weeks.... First, Sam has to finish his classes this week. (Not that I am really stressed about this, but it sets the stage for some other stuff I guess) Well, Sam has his graduation this coming Saturday (YAY!!) and I am trying to arrange times when everyone will be up here, how many seats I am going to have to save, and how I am going to arrange the babysitting for nieces and nephews.. and try to figure out the eating afterwards, and all that. Then the weekend after that we are moving. This is where the stress comes from.

In order to move, I have to find a storage unit that we can store our stuff in. I have to arrange everything in our apartment so that I can find what I need in a storage shed. I need to arrange transportation of everything down, I need to cancel utilities and get all of that settled. I need to pay all the rest of our bills, I need to clean our apartment, I have to get all the rest of our paperwork turned in, and I have to do it all with a newborn. And I have less than 2 weeks to do it, and I have barely started!! I am SO stressed out!! Plus, I am trying to start up my business down in Utah County. Hopefully this will be easier than I think it will be...but it probably won't. You know...when I write it down like this..it doesn't seem like a lot, but when I let me head start analizing everything and thinking about it, I almost start hyperventilating about it!! It's crazy!! So...that is what my next couple of weeks look like, so hopefully (this is for you Michelle!) I will still be able to post often! We will see...but if you don't see a post from me for a few days, shoot me an e-mail!

Oh, and if you check out my photography blog, I have a contest going on...so make sure to check it out!

Goal for 2008

Ok, so I am going to post one of my goals this year. It is for my business...but I am hoping to get enough money with photography that I can buy this...

For those who aren't sure what this is...it is the Nikon D3. I WANT THIS CAMERA!! There is nothing else to say about it other than it is AWESOME!! It has a full frame sensor, so it will be comparable (although still not the same) to shooting film! And you can shoot with a higher ISO (meaning I can shoot in lower light settings without using a flash!) Yee haw!

So..by posting this here, I am hoping that I will be able to succeed, and accomplish this goal! Of course, by the time that I am able to afford this camera, they will probably have come out with a better one that I will be drooling over. But it is a start! Yay!! Ok...so now you know my passion, and what I search for online late at night...I am a sad individual.

So...if you know of anyone who needs a photographer for ANYTHING, send them my way! If they book a session with me, and they mention that you sent them...you could get something awesome! Maybe I will have to come up with a raffle drawing or something...or something free for you...who knows, but I will come up with it! If you have any ideas on anything that will motivate you to send people my way..let me know and I will consider it! Yay!!

A couple more...

So here are a couple of pictures that we took today of bubba. Again, Liz from Liz Photoz and I got together to take some pictures. Here are a couple that I took...

A shout out to Liz for letting us use her kitchen table and her windows! We were going to try to go outside, but it was SNOWING!! Crazy Utah weather. So THANK YOU LIZ!!!

And here are a couple of him smiling. SO CUTE!! I LOVE it!! He is now starting to smile at us when we look at him or talk to him. It melts my heart EVERY TIME!!! Tonight, he even started giggling a little when he smiled, and I cried..it was just amazing to think that he was smiling at me. He was recognizing me. I am SO in love...

Enjoy!!

Our family..

So we had a WONDERFUL photographer take our pictures yesterday. (I would have...but it is hard to be in front of the camera and behind the camera at the same time...) So this photographer is Liz from Liz Photoz and we have been good friends for about a year and a half. So she was nice enough to take pictures for us, and once she has her little one, I will be returning the favor! So here is a sample of some of the pictures we have gone through. Enjoy!

Oh, and you can now see what my hair looks like now! It is LONG, and somewhat blonde. Hehe. Let me know what you think!
