This weekend

This weekend I am staying with this wonderful lady.

She is my Great Grandmother. She is a funny lady. She went and had her hair done, and wouldn't let me forget that we were going to take her picture. So I had to make sure that I got those pictures in. I love this picture of the two of us. It's a good one to have. :-)
That and I LOVE the frost that shows up on the trees from the fog up here. And actually I think it is smog, but it puts this frost on the trees, and I love the frost.

Anyway. My grandparents are out of town, so I am up with Wendy and my mom and we are putting in a joint effort to watch my great grandma. It's going to be fun. :-)

My Boy

My boy is growing up. I know I've told you all this before. But he's growing up. He enjoys having his picture taken now. (And as you can see from the photo below, he is starting to pose for me)
I love it.

This little boy means the WORLD to me. He is the highlight of my life. He is the reason I get up every day, and the reason I do what I can to provide for him. He is a sweetheart, and will melt your heart with his "I love you's" and his hugs and kisses. He is my life.
I've been going through a rough patch, and I feel SO lucky to have this little guy in my life. He makes everything worth it. Sometimes I don't think so, but in the big picture, he does.

I love his face.
I love his cute toes.
I love the way he tickles me in the morning to get me to wake up.
I love the way he looks at me and say's "I love you".
I love the way that he snuggles me when I'm scared.
I just love him.

And somehow, when I look at him. I know everything is going to be ok.

Enjoy :-)

Still here

I know I haven't posted a whole lot. But I thought I would let you know that I am still here. And still doing well. We are alive.

We are going to a special Ward Conference tomorrow, and I am very excited. I will try to update you when we are done.

I am still at Bath and Body Works. Turns out my seasonal job is extended longer. Which is good. It will really help out. Sam is still working at the Ranch, and we are trying to find him a job in his field. Hopefully we will be able to find one soon. :-)

I've been doing a lot of thinking, and I have some AMAZING friends and family who have helped me figure out things that I need to do in my life. I am glad to say that I will be a better person because of this. And I hope that I can do what I can to relay what's been going on. So, I will be updating soon.
Promise.

New do

Bubba got his hair cut today. Last time we cut his hair, he HATED it! Meaning, he BAWLED the whole time. Needless to say, we didn't want to try again. I was cutting Sam's hair and he was interested. He wanted us to cut his. He sat there and let us cut it.
No fit. No bawling. Nothing.
GREAT! So, then he went to have a bath afterwards. He ended up standing up in the tub after we told him not to, and slipping. He fell and hit his head against the edge of the tub. Poor boy. He cried for a second, but then was done. I think it gave him a headache though, because randomly he would look at me and say "ow" and point to his head. Poor boy. He has received MANY kisses today. He was playing peek-a-boo with me today. Love him!

Trying to figure out how to get to me and get my camera

He got Grandpa's camera instead. :-)

More peek-a-boo

LOVE the B&W ones as well.

Logo

Help! I need help deciding which logo to choose! This is for my photography business. And I am at a loss as to which one to choose! My wonderful friend Kirstin Roper designed these both for me. She is AMAZING to work with! If you need a logo designed, GO TO HER! So I need your help. I have a poll on the right side of the screen, just mark #1 or #2 as to which one you like more. If you want to tell me why you choose one over the other, please leave me a comment and let me know! Thanks!
#1

#2

THANK YOU! The one with the most votes will become my new logo!

Prayers Needed

There is a photographer, who is fighting for the life of her son. This breaks my heart. You can read the whole story by clicking here. Her baby is just a couple of months old. And before he could make it to his 8 week old check up, they found out that he had Pertussis. (The vaccine for Pertussis is given at 8 week checkups) This poor baby is suffering from all kinds of complications now, and they are asking for prayers to save his life. Please pray for their family. They need it.

Bubba

I figured it was time to do another photoshoot of Bubba. It has been a while, and when you get THESE for Christmas, you just can't resist. :-)

We started in the house. I wanted to try it out and see how well we could do. After all we have a blue wall, and it REALLY brings out his eyes. :-)

Like I said. It's all about the eyes.

Here he is blowing kisses to the camera.

And I bribed him to sit still with a candy cane. Hey, it worked.

Then we decided to go outside. He LOVES being outside, and of course threw a fit when he had to come back in. Silly Boy.
Laughing at Kaleigh, because he threw snow and it hit her.

And Kaleigh got him back.

SO cute!

Showing me that Kaleigh got him again.

Showing me the snow..before he ate it.

Trying to throw snow at me.

This was the last shot of s series of face shots I did of him. Love his face.

And this is about the time he was done with me having a camera in his face.

Glad that we were able to do it. I will try to do more of him as we start this year. Wait a second, doesn't that sound familiar? I think I said that a year ago. Hmm...hopefully this year goes better. :-) Enjoy!

*As a side note, I am doing a 365 day self portrait project. You can follow along here Enjoy!

New Years

It is now 2010. Can you believe it? I remember what I was doing 10 years ago, and it really doesn't seem like it was 10 years. My 10 year High School Reunion is going to be next year. Dang. I'm getting old. Well, with the New Year, come of course, the New Year's Resolutions. I have been doing a lot of thinking about this. I have finally come up with 3 lists. A friend of mine also has a list of things that aren't necessarily things to cross off, but things to improve on. I have done the same on my personal level. My lists consist of Myself: things I want to do on my own. Family: Things I want to do with Sam, and Bubba. And Business: Things I want to improve in my business.

I have to do lists. I feel good when I can cross something off. It makes me feel like I am accomplishing something. When I make a list of things to do in the day, I include the most menial tasks (shower, eat breakfast, wake up, etc). So there are things that I am guaranteed to cross off. Haha. Anyway, I figure that if I post my resolutions out there, I am held accountable for them. So that I have to do it. I am also printing them off, and posting them around so I can see them. So here they are.
